A Place called...

A Place called...

End of orientation....it was great!! Lots of Asians, actually it's like 95% asians, and the rest from Europe, Australia, and other parts of the world. Kinda amazing right?

Gotta make quite a number of friends here. Loadsa Japanese and Koreans, and in my orientation group, everyone is Asian.

I've got a great peer mentor too! She's Ashley, and she's like the buddy we have in SMU, but she takes care of a bigger group of people. She brought her boyfriend along with her on a couple of our trips too! Great guy, from a small town in Washington too.

Haha...did i mention that most Americans don't know where Singapore is? And that our first language is English?? I'm totally surprised. Really.... They think we have our own language like people in Japan speak Japanese.

The only thing i don't like about here is that i have alot of trouble getting my business classes. Apparently, the college of business obtained some accreditation that even Harvard Biz school doesn't have, and it's strict in allowing non-degree people like me get their classes. =( And i had to go talk to a Professor yesterday, but fortunately, he was nice enough to let me in his course. It's an independent study thing....another research project....but well....i think it's better than nothing, plus it's super cool!!

Going to hang out with a couple of friends today at the movies in town, so i'm really looking forward to it too!
And my upcoming activity near the end of January would be ice-climbing.....gonna go for a rock climbing ceritification soon!!
